Grandparents Built A Giant Totoro For Their Grandkids

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I always loved that when my grandfather made something for me. He was a great Craftsman in wood working and building items. One year he built myself along with my sisters a doll high-chair and cradle, and my grandmother made the dolls for us. It was one of the greatest gifts I have ever received in my life. Grandpa just love to work with his hands, it’s one of the things that I actually miss about him. Thanks Grandpa for always making such wonderful things I appreciate it always.

Now we all know Totoro, if you don’t that’s okay because now is your chance to finally know him. My Neighbor Totoro was created by the great Hayao Miyazaki, think of him as the Japanese version of Walt Disney. Because anything he creates turns into pure gold, I personally cannot think of any movie that he has done that was anything but Superior.

Now, take those two and put them together and what do you get? Two amazing grandparents from Takaheru, Miyazaki Japan, took it upon themselves to give the gift of something greater to their grandkids. By making a giant Totoro that has now since become a place to capture a beautiful moment. Look how they worked hard to bring the Totoro to life!

Aren’t these just amazing! It’s now apart of a Totoro themed bus stop! Tourists and locals alike love traveling from far and wide to try and take a picture with this statue. It just shows that no matter the age Totoro still brings delight to all.
