If you have been waiting patiently to find out when you can finally book the most epic Star Wars vacation then you won’t have to wait much longer. Word on the street is that Disney will be booking spots to stay at their fully immersive Star Wars hotel soon. Disney has announced that they will open reservations later this year for “Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser” which is a two-day, two-night all immersive vacation that simulates the Star Wars universe. Think LARPing but vacation style.
Ann Morrow Johnson, executive producer for Walt Disney Imagineering says, “Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is a completely new type of experience. You’re going to live onboard a star cruiser…and you can get wrapped up in the larger Star Wars story.”
Of course even though bookings will open up this year, you still won’t be able to stay there until 2021. But it’s worth the wait because by then Florida’s version of Star Wars land will be in full swing.
The way they will take you in is nothing short of revolutionary too. You will step onto a launch pad(which we assume means check in) and then be launched into space via a launch pod. It all sounds like they are going to make it seem like you really are in a galaxy far far away.
