For just $75 you can buy a candle that smells like Gywneth Paltrow’s vagina. She is selling from her lifestyle and wellness company Goop. The title of the candle if you are searching for it is, “This Smells Like My Vagina.”
The candle was reportedly sold out of the test run.
“This candle started as a joke between perfumer Douglas Little and GP — the two were working on a fragrance, and she blurted out, ‘Uhhh … this smells like a vagina,’” Goop states.
With a funny, gorgeous, sexy, and beautifully unexpected scent, this candle is made with geranium, citrusy bergamot, and cedar absolutes juxtaposed with Damask rose and ambrette seed to put us in mind of fantasy, seduction, and a sophisticated warmth.
Even the box and it’s flowery decor is a bit sexual. As you see a flower completely unfolded with the stamen poking out. But that’s just subjective, others may not find it bothersome at all.
Goop is an odd company that sells lots of vagina related things. Remember that “Vagina Egg” that was supposed to help regulate periods and keep cramping to a minimum? That was them. They ultimately had a lawsuit brought against them for it and settled at a six figure sum.
She seems to be going for some kind of shock value with this, but since it’s selling I can’t say she’s doing anything wrong. As long as people are willing to buy this stuff who am I to judge?
