If you love KFC you may want to add this to your “Bucket” list. See what I did there? Especially because this restaurant includes all-you-can-drink alcohol as well. This is going to be a bit of a trek for some of you but totally worth adding to your tourism schedule. The new restaurant is opening in the Machida neighborhood of Tokyo and will be the first restaurant to offer the all-you-can-eat buffet style of dining all year round.
Japan has had other occasions where they have had KFC buffets but only for holidays and the Colonel’s birthday. Now they have a full sit down restaurant where you can get chicken and liquor wasted at the same time. KFC opened their new restaurant in Minami Machida Grandberry Park on Wednesday.
Lunch (served between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.):
Adult – 1,980 yen ($18 USD)
Kids – 980 yen ($9 USD)
Dinner (served between 5 p.m.-10 p.m.):
Adult – 2,580 yen ($24 USD)
Kids – 1,280 yen ($12 USD)
There is lunch and dinner available to kids under elementary school age for 480 yen which comes out to about $4.41 USD. Children under 3 eat free. The restaurant has a theme of “KFC home party” which is more of a family style decor. There is a kids’ school corner that actually teaches kids about cooking and kitchen safety that will be used for educational purposes.
Japan has been enamored with KFC and the Colonel for a long time and this is just one more first for them. They have KFC buffets in the United States as well but this will mark the first time that Japan has a fully dedicated restaurant.
