He confirmed in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter that he is intending on running in 2024 for President. He also wants to change his name for a year to “Christian Genius Billionaire Kanye West” in order to prove a point that black men can do anything.

During the fifth annual Fast Company Innovation Festival in New York on Thursday November 8th, Kanye surprised the crowd as he showed up for a panel discussion. They unveiled the new Yeezy sneaker where Kanye said that “Yeezy is the Apple of apparel”. The shoe is made from eco friendly algae fiber.

All seemed pretty normal but that’s normal for any other business professional who slings Kanye West Merch. Then he had to do something only Kanye would do. Drop an info bomb on the audience.

He says that he is thinking of changing his name to Christian Genius Billionaire Kanye West for the span of a year. He also spoke about when he would run for President. Here is a quote from the event.

“Martin Luther King didn’t get killed because he had a dream; he had something else he was gong to talk about. He talked about black empowerment, economic empowerment. When I did Forbes, I showed them a $890 million receipt and they still didn’t say ‘billionaire.’ They don’t want us to know that we can buy land; they don’t want us to have the 100 percent ownership [that] I have at Yeezy. … When people say it’s crass to call yourself a billionaire, I say I might legally change my name to Christian Genius Billionaire Kanye West for a year until y’all understand exactly what it is … It will be on the license plate.”

“When I run for President in 2024, What y’all laughing at? We would create so many jobs! I’m not going to run, I’m going to walk. When you see headlines saying Kanye’s crazy — one in three African Americans are in jail and all the celebrities are in jail also because they can’t say nothing, they got no opinion, they’re so scared!”

So there you have it. Kanye wants to change his name to Christian Genius Billionaire Kanye West and we can expect to see him run for President in 2024.
