Have you ever had a run down Little Tykes car and thought “I should turn this into a post-apocalyptic doom buggy, like the ones from the Mad Max series”? Dad, Ian Pfaff did!

Inspired by Mad Max: Fury Road, Ian proceeded to modify the toy cars using “random cool looking junk” that he has collected over time such as “broken computers, printers, fax machines, and expresso machine…” He thought it would be fun to use the junk and repurpose the car into a Mad Max Mobile.

Not many parents raise their kids to know and love movies such as Mad Max which takes place in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, similar to Fallout or Borderlands. However, Ian liked Mad Max as a kid and wants to raise kids, Junior and Benji, the same way.

You know, hope is a mistake. If you can’t fix what’s broken, you’ll, uh… you’ll go insane.

When thinking environmentally friendly, death car usually isn’t the first thing that comes to most people’s minds, but Ian repurposed and reused a lot of broken junk and second-hand items when creating these vehicles. The Little Tykes were run-down hand-me-downs from a family friend. A lot of the parts are from broken appliances and electronics. The dolls were from second-hand stores.

At first, this Mad Max for Little Tykes car just looks like a Little Tykes car with random stuff attached to it.

Dad Ian says that making the cars wasn’t difficult at all. It was like playing with Legos– he just needed to find the part, and attach it.

Like Chrom’d War Boy, Nux, what War Car is complete without some silver paint?

We have been waiting for another installation in the Mad Max Franchise since 2015! Two Mad Max films are in the works, including a tale about Furiosa, the female badass from the film. If they take any longer to make the films, Junior may be old enough to play Furiosa. Mad Max is now in Pre-Production.

Cameo in Mad Max: Wastelands Sequel?

The detail work on these Mad Max Mobiles are so crazy, even Immortan Joe can’t claim it is mediocre. If this badass family has a cameo in the sequel, Mad Max: Wastelands, we would be in Valhalla!

Until then, you can witness cuteness overload with the Mad Max Junior Trailer.

Do not, my friends, become addicted… It will take hold of you, and you will resent its absence!

    Leiko

It's possible that Leiko is a masochist. She's an introvert who has a full-time job working with teachers and students on making video games, and robots out of Legos. She's a sloth who chose to have kids, and all the all-consuming aspects involved with that. If you see her in public, she's most likely caffeinated on milk tea and sea salt coffee (simultaneously) while Yelping, and taking photos. Her heroes include the Onion Knight from Game of Thrones who went from nothing to an educated man who stands up for the Shireens of the world, as well as for the proper usage of grammar. Long live the Oxford Comma.
