For those of you who haven’t seen it yet Attack on Titan is an anime that has become a commercial success. The Manga both written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama first started in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shonen Magazine in 2009. Since that time it has been collected into 28 volumes and has sold over 90 million copies worldwide.

The story surrounds a group of military troops that are stationed to fight against the threat of Titans. Titans are giant humanoids that don’t seem to have any pause when it comes to killing and eating people. They had built a city and walls to keep out the Titans until one fateful day the Titans tore down wall Maria creating havoc and leaving a trail of blood behind them.

This show has many layers to it and I highly recommend tuning in and watching it, or rewatching it if that is the case in your situation. I haven’t been able to keep up how I want to because unfortunately if you have young children around it will probably cause them to have nightmares. If you love an eerie anime with nightmare inducing titans then this is the right show for you.

If you have the Funimation app then you will be able to watch the Simuldub May 26th. If you don’t and you like dubs I recommend you get it. The basic Funimation price point for streaming without commercials is $5.99 and totally worth it. I recently got it because of the Fruits Basket anime that has come out and now I have both Funimation and Crunchyroll and I honestly love being able to switch between the two.
