News broke this morning that Doris Day, America’s Sweetheart has passed away at the age of 97.
According to Fox News, The Doris Day Animal Foundation emailed a statement that Doris,
“had been in excellent physical health for her age, until recently contracting a serious case of pneumonia.” and that she had died in her home in Carmel Valley surrounded by close friends and family early Monday morning.
Her career spanned for over 50 years having entertained us with her singing and her acting. She was in movies like Pillow Talk, Calamity Jane and MANY others.
It’s a sad day for Cinephiles today so let’s all raise a glass and sing one last round of Que Sera Sera for our late friend Doris.
