If you have been at Target or Best Buy lately you know that the new line of Detective Pikachu toys are no joke. They are lining the shelves everywhere and people are buying them up in the blink of an eye. Believe me I tried Target yesterday and that aisle was a wasteland. But some good news for those of you who had the foresight to plan to see Detective Pikachu opening weekend as they have released a preview of an exclusive trading card that you will receive with ticket purchases at theaters everywhere!

If you play the game you know that the symbol next to the attacks is a “normal” type so that any element card can be applied. That means that he is welcome in any deck regardless of specialty and it looks that if he isn’t against too strong of a Pokemon will be a good card to keep alive. Since he can heal himself for 30 with only one card applied and do 20 damage with 2 cards applied.

It’s a nice addition to any collection, and whether or not you collect the cards you will definitely want this cute little card as remembrance for attending opening weekend.

Detective Pikachu tickets are on sale now and will premiere May 10th!

What do you think of all the new merch and cards that have come out? Tell us in the comments if your collection has grown!
