I saw a meme a long time ago that said Fantasy Football was D&D for jocks. And from my observation… truer words have never been spoken.

So why not combine sports and nerdery? The folks over at Disney are way ahead of me as on October 9th, during Monday Night Football fans across the country were treated to the second trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

It’s Incredible! Director Rian Johnson’s installment in the Star Wars Universe looks to be nothing shy of epic.  There appears to be a darker tone similar to Empire and the bad guys are definitely the highlights of the preview.  We get out first look at the non-projected image of Supreme Leader Snoke (who I’m assuming provides the opening voice over).  Does Kylo really blow up Leia’s ship? Does Rey turn to the dark side?

We get some other interesting things like Kylo going mask-less.  There’s going to be a showdown between Finn and Captain Phasma. Does Rey visit the Jedi temple? And most important… why is Luke afraid of Rey’s power?

    And now… we wait.

    Tickets are on sale now.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi arrives in theaters on December 15th 2017.
