It’s not a nightmare, it’s a dream: Henry Selick has teamed up with Jordan Peele for “Wendell & Wild” and the trailer is out now. We’re going to start out by saying “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law” is a different type of beast in the MCU. The show is very much a half hour comedy, which feels like quite the departure from much of the usual angsty fare. After watching Apple TV+’s “Luck,” we feel like we are the cursed ones. The new animated film centers around a just turned adult woman named Sam Greenfield (Eva Noblezada) who is “the unluckiest person in the world.” She meets a magical cat (voiced by Simon Pegg doing his best Craig Ferguson impression). What ensues is an excruciating 1 hour 37 minute “adventure” taking one through the land of Luck.  The film feels more like a series of Rube Goldberg machine-esque or overly choreographed sequences strung together. Those familiar with Neil Gaiman’s “The Sandman” may have thought an on-screen adaptation not possible. Gaiman, Allan Heinberg, and David S. Goyer are here to prove to us that dreams can come true. The key word when it comes to the Netflix series is “adaptation” for it is not exactly the same as the comic. We believe that the best on-screen transformations bring something of their own to the story. The San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) “Sandman” panel began on a high as Neil Gaiman said it feels “Really good. Really really really good” to have his characters finally brought to life on screen after all this time. “I’m a fan, I love what we’ve done” gushed the author. Marvel is investing in more animated projects which they revealed the release dates their upcoming Disney+ projects. Returning for another season is “Marvel’s What If…?” which explores alternate timelines of our favorite heroes. That will return in early 2023. We also got a release date for the much anticipated “X-Men ‘97.” It’ll be coming to Disney+ in fall of 2023.
