Two people have been detained in north China for allegedly damaging part of the Great Wall with an excavator. According to local authorities, a man and woman in Shanxi province were attempting to create a shortcut through the landmark to their nearby construction site. The two allegedly expanded an already existing opening into a wide gap, large enough to get their excavator through. Their reasoning was to save on travel distance to get the excavator to the worksite. This has caused irreversible damage to the section’s integrity and safety. Four Mississippi hunters captured a 14 foot long alligator and set a new state record. Donald Woods, Will Thomas, Joey Clark, and Tanner White captured the male alligator in west Mississippi’s Sunflower River. This area is a dedicated alligator hunting zone. The male alligator weighed 802.5 pounds (364 kilograms) and was 14 feet and 3 inches long (4.3 meters). Glowing blue waves are back in Southern California, lighting up beaches with bioluminescent waters. It is a beautiful, yet unusual sight for beachgoers who saw the nocturnal waves last week. The show consisted of the devices being used to create other fantastic images in the night sky. The festival took place on June 22nd, 2023 as it is one of the four top traditional Chinese festivals.
