The world lost the best Batman in November of 2022 with the passing of actor Kevin Conroy. Having voiced the Dark Knight across numerous cartoons (“Batman: The Animated Series”) and video games, he racked up the most time as Bruce Wayne. It’s been awhile since we had any kind of update on Taika Waititi’s live-action adaptation of “Akira.” Many outlets seemed to think the project was dead, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. During the press tour for his current theatrical release “Next Goal Wins,” Waititi offered what to some may be a surprising bit of intel. Oh, Tom Hardy. We love your unbridled fanboy enthusiasm for Eddie Brock and symbiote, Venom. You kind of single handedly kept what should have been a one-and-done film going, and created what is now a trilogy. We….are not sure how we feel about this. It’s bad enough that people are STILL CHEERING AND APPLAUDING when AMC theaters roll the ad featuring Nicole Kidman. Seriously, why? One of the great American traditions of Thanksgiving is of course the Macy’s Parade. Things seemed to be going pretty swell, until a tree took out Luffy’s hat. As you can see in the below video, the Luffy from “ONE PIECE” balloon picked a fight with a tree, and his hat suffered the consequences.
