Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.

After watching this morning’s “Cruella” trailer a few times, we finally realized what it is the Disney live-action film reminds us of. Such strong Vivienne Westwood vibes for Emma Stone as the titular fashionista character. But adding in some Harley Quinn too? Kind of a brilliant move. So, let’s dive into the delicious punk fashion of it all. A young, ruby haired Cruella comes to London to study fashion. This hair color and hat are VERY Westwood. Emma Thompson’s Baroness is dressed in Givenchy “Breakfast At Tiffany’s” style, sort of represents the classic (aka ‘old’) take on fashion. Surrounded by…

THR broke the news of his addition to the “Dungeons & Dragons” feature film currently in development. Where to start with this bit of “news.” Unless you’ve been somewhere in the outer rim, chances are you’ve heard about Disney and Lucasfilm finally firing “The Mandalorian” star Gina Carano, citing her abhorrent social media bombardment of hate-speech posts including but not limited to anti-Semitic, anti-Trans, anti-gay, anti-vaxx, false claims of a stolen election result, and denial of the severity of the still-ongoing worldwide pandemic. All of which are still highly visible across her social media accounts. We can safely assume that Carano, who formerly played Cara Dune in “Star Wars” spinoff series “The Mandalorian” on Disney+, was thusly fired…
