It’s Wheel of Time Wednesday, and the team behind Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming high fantasy series outdid themselves today. So, check out perhaps one of the most iconic pieces of weaponry from Robert Jordan’s “Wheel of Time” book series, the Shadar Logoth dagger.
After watching this morning’s “Cruella” trailer a few times, we finally realized what it is the Disney live-action film reminds us of. Such strong Vivienne Westwood vibes for Emma Stone as the titular fashionista character. But adding in some Harley Quinn too? Kind of a brilliant move. So, let’s dive into the delicious punk fashion of it all. A young, ruby haired Cruella comes to London to study fashion. This hair color and hat are VERY Westwood. Emma Thompson’s Baroness is dressed in Givenchy “Breakfast At Tiffany’s” style, sort of represents the classic (aka ‘old’) take on fashion. Surrounded by…
Netflix hit series “Bridgerton” star Regé-Jean Page will need to do an alignment check, because it sounds like he’s joining the upcoming Dungeons & Dragons movie. One of the front-running favorites to possibly take over the mantle of 007 James Bond following the (eventual???) release of “No Time To Die,” Page leads the cast of Netflix’s “Bridgerton” series, and was just announced as hosting “Saturday Night Live” February 20th. THR broke the news of his addition to the “Dungeons & Dragons” feature film currently in development. Last we heard, Justice Smith (“Detective Pikachu,” “Jurassic World“) and Michelle Rodriguez (“LOST,” “Fast and Furious”) will…
Mars needs donuts, Or something like that. Thanks to confectionary giant Krispy Kreme, NASA fans can treat themselves to a specialty doughnut during the Perseverance rover landing on Thursday. Caramel-dipped and chocolate cream-filled, this super limited item is topped with a swirl that resembles Mars, and it’s even sprinkled with chocolate cookie crumbs for that authentic dusty Martian touch.Mark Watney WISHES he had one. The Mars doughnut commemorates the landing of NASA’s Perseverance Rover on the red planet, a fete scheduled for Thursday, February 18th at around 3:55pm (EST). Yes, you can expect us to stress eat a full dozen during…
Walt Disney Studios’ upcoming live-action refocusing of a classic animated character “Cruella” is still very much happening. This morning, the House of Mouse released a brand-new poster, featuring star Emma Stone as the titular fashionista with a passion for all things fur. Craig Gillespie (“I, Tonya”) is directing “Cruella.” Joel Fry and Paul Walter Hauser will star as Cruella’s inept henchmen Jasper and Horace, and we know that both Emma Thompson and Mark Strong are on cast as well. As of today, we don’t really know much else, but with a teaser trailer coming tomorrow, hopefully that’ll change. We will of course let you know…
We are very pleased to report that Marvel Studios has just announced a brand-new upcoming documentary series titled “Assembled” is coming to Disney+! This will be kinda like “Disney Gallery,” which is the behind-the-scenes show based on “The Mandalorian.” The first episode of “Assembled” will focus on hit Disney+ Marvel Studios series “WandaVision.” Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany star as their “Avengers” characters Wanda Maximoff and Vision. The series also stars Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, Randall Park as Agent Jimmy Woo, and Kathryn Hahn as Agnes. Matt Shakman directs, and Jac Schaeffer is lead writer on the 9-episode…
We want to start by saying dropping a trailer on a Sunday morning is a rude move, HBO Max! Just kidding. Trailers drop all thetime, and at least we knew, from the last two weeks of teases, that “Zack Snyder’s Justice League” directors cut was unveiling a brand new trailer today.A four-hour version of the Warner Bros. Pictures film, which has been re-cut and features re-shot and even new scenes, appearances of Jared Leto’s Joker, Darkseid and his army, Harry Lennix’s Martian Manhunter, Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, along with a score from Junkie XL- make this the ultimate Snyder…
We review “Clarice,” CBS’s continuation of “Silence of the Lambs” focusing on Agent Starling- minus Hannibal Lecter.
Where to start with this bit of “news.” Unless you’ve been somewhere in the outer rim, chances are you’ve heard about Disney and Lucasfilm finally firing “The Mandalorian” star Gina Carano, citing her abhorrent social media bombardment of hate-speech posts including but not limited to anti-Semitic, anti-Trans, anti-gay, anti-vaxx, false claims of a stolen election result, and denial of the severity of the still-ongoing worldwide pandemic. All of which are still highly visible across her social media accounts. We can safely assume that Carano, who formerly played Cara Dune in “Star Wars” spinoff series “The Mandalorian” on Disney+, was thusly fired…
