At long last, Nintendo and Illumination have released the first look at their upcoming animated “Super Mario Bros.” film. Titled simply “The Super Mario Bros. Movie,” this project was first announced back in 2018. The world being what it was for a few years with Covid, things got delayed. Chris Pratt stars as the voice of hero plumber Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy is Princess Peach, Charlie Day is Mario’s brother Luigi, Jack Black is Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key is Toad, and Seth Rogen is Donkey Kong. FX series “American Horror Story” is coming with a new season later this fall. While we still don’t know what to expect from “American Horror Story: NYC,” we do have a new teaser to peak interest. We know “AHS: NYC” will star Joe Mantello, Billie Lourd, Zachary Quinto, Russell Tovey, Leslie Grossman, Charlie Carver, Sandra Bernhard, Isaac Powell, Denis O’Hare, and Broadway legend Patti LuPone.The 11th season of Ryan Murphy‘s anthology series “American Horror Story” will premiere on FX (and Hulu) October 19th, 2022.Check out the teaser below.
This just in-the Blumhouse Pictures film adaptation of popular video game “Five Nights at Freddy’s” has announced their director. Emma Tammi (“The Wind”) will be in the hot seat. And perhaps the most exciting part, the incredible Jim Henson Creature Shop will be handling the animatronics! Fans of Charlie Cox’s The Man Without Fear may want to make time to catch the next episode of “She-Hulk” on Disney+. Perhaps one of the most iconic bathing suits in film history- you know, minus the myriad of James Bond entries- is Carrie Fisher’s gold bikini from “Star Wars: Episode VI- Return of the Jedi.” Worn by Fisher as Princess Leia, the divisive outfit has undergone some scrutiny. This just in-that long-dormant “Spawn” film set to star Jamie Foxx is still in active development. Kinda. According to an announcement from creator Todd McFarlane, Todd Silver, Malcolm Spellman, and Matthew Mixom are picking up the pen to write a new script. Last we’d heard, Brian Tucker was handling the screenplay, but that was back in 2021. Silver co-wrote “Joker” with Todd Phillips, a project that garnered a Best Adapted Screenplay Oscar nomination for the pair. Spellman recently wrote Marvel Studios’ “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” for Disney+, and is currently working on “Captain America 4” for the franchise.…
Earlier this morning, CD PROJEKT RED announced their upcoming plans for several key titles. Things like “Cyberpunk 2077: Orion,” and three different “The Witcher” games. This just in-Marvel Studios’ upcoming “Armor Wars” project, which was being developed as a show for Disney+, is now a movie. Starring Don Cheadle as James “Rhody” Rhodes aka War Machine, will lead the film. Yassir Lester, who was tapped for head writer on the series, will still serve in the position for the movie. This just in- Bassam Tariq, who was set to direct Marvel Studios’ upcoming “Blade” reboot, has exited the project. The film was announced back in 2019, with Oscar winner Mahershala Ali taking over the role. In a statement, Marvel Studios indicated Tarqiq’s leaving the film is due to scheduling. “Due to continued shifts in our production schedule, Bassam is no longer moving forward as director of Blade but will remain an executive producer on the film. We appreciate Bassam’s talent and all the work he’s done getting ‘Blade’ to where it is.”We’ll let you know what we hear about this and other news.
