The “Rambo” prequel film “John Rambo” is full speed ahead on development. Noah Centineo (“Warfare”) is now attached to play a younger version of Sylvester Stallone’s iconic character. It will be directed by Jalmari Helander (“Sisu”) from a screenplay by Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvani. The same writing duo behind 2022’s “Black Adam.” Specific plot details for “John Rambo” are under wraps, but it will be the character’s origin story. We’ve seen some odd crimes, but stealing rare manuscripts from a library may be the weirdest one we’ve found. Jeffrey Ying, who goes by the aliases Jason Wang, Alan Fujimori, and Austin Chen, is accused of stealing approximately $216,000 worth of rare and historical Chinese manuscripts. He allegedly stole these documents from the UCLA library system. The Justice Department has announced he will be charged with theft of major artwork.
