Prince Harry Writes Touching Forward In Children’s Bereavement Book

The Duke of Sussex Prince Harry Windsor, who lost his mother Princess Diana Spencer when he was 12, has written a touching forward for children going through the same thing he did. In a book called “Hospital by the Hill,” he leaves a note for children who’ve lost a parent during the pandemic.

In the Prince’s forward, he touches on his own story of the loss of his mother.

Hospital by the hill is a book we’ve created which tells the story of a young person and the loss of their mother, who had been working on the front line.

We are providing these books for free to any child or young person in the UK affected in this way.

“Hospital by the Hill” tells the story of a child who’s lost his mother, a frontline worker during the pandemic. The book is free for any child who’s lost a loved one due to the pandemic in the United Kingdom. They state that all you need to do is contact them and they will send you a coupon code.

    Prince Harry’s forward reads:

“While I wish I was able to hug you right now, I hope this story is able to provide you comfort in knowing that you’re not alone…

When I was a young boy I lost my mum. At the time I didn’t want to believe it or accept it, and it left a huge hole inside of me. I know how you feel, and I want to assure you that over time that hole will be filled with so much love and support. We all cope with loss in a different way, but when a parent goes to heaven, I was told their spirit, their love and the memories of them do not…

You may feel alone, you may feel sad, you may feel angry, you may feel bad. This feeling will pass. And I will make a promise to you – you will feel better and stronger once you are ready to talk about how it makes you feel.”

“Hospital By The Hill” is currently available to order through their official website here. Supplies are limited.
