There was a time before Sideshow Collectables, before Gentle Giant were household names in the collectables world. The one company that everyone knew at that time was McFarlane Toys, founded by Image Comics’ co-founder Todd McFarlane.

McFarlane has done it all- sports figurines, comic characters, dark and twisted fairy tales, and their newest upcoming line, Warhammer 40,000.

The first two figures kicking off the Warhammer 40k line are this Necron Warrior and the Ultramarines Primaris Assault Intercessor. These badboys have 22 points of articulation along with their 7-inch scale, and a whole mess’o accessories.

    Ultramaraines Primaris Assault Intercessor

McFarlane Toys Warhammer 40,000 Ultramarines Primaris Assault Intercessor Action Figure – “Space Marines are the champions of the Imperium, Mankind’s most elite fighting force. The combat prowess of these heavily augmented warriors is backed up by the best weaponry and equipment the Imperium can provide. Clad in nigh-impenetrable power armor, each Space Marine combines excellent close combat skills with deadly shooting accuracy. Space Marine armies are hard-hitting, able to tactically adjust to any foe or situation. A wide range of troops and vehicles enables them to launch lightning strikes, armored spearheads, airborne assaults, or any other strategy a commander can envision. Includes a Heavy Bolt Pistol, Astartes Chainsword, and base.”

You can pre-order the Intercessor here on Amazon or here on Entertainment Earth.

    Necron Warrior

McFarlane Toys Warhammer 40,000 Necron Warrior Action Figure – “Beneath the skin of the galaxy lurks the eldritch menace known as the Necrons. Having long ago made a devil’s bargain to swap the frailties of flesh for undying metal, they now stir to murderous wakefulness on worlds uncounted after millions of years of slumber, and seek to reclaim the stars from those who have usurped them.

Pre-order the Necron Warrior on Amazon here, or Entertainment Earth here.

Both figures are expected to ship beginning September 30th 2020.

Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.
