KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia – Some songs are written for the moment. Others wait for the right moment. For international artist Naseem Sultan ( نسيم سلطان ), “Aku Cinta Malaysia” has been waiting for seven years.

Originally recorded in 2019, the bilingual single was scheduled for release the following year. Preparations for the project’s official music video began in 2020, but production was halted when the COVID-19 pandemic and nationwide lockdowns brought filming and creative projects to an unexpected standstill.

Rather than rushing the release, Sultan chose to wait until the right moment to share the song with the world. As the years passed, the project continued to evolve creatively, transforming “Aku Cinta Malaysia” into one of the most meaningful songs of his career.

Now, seven years after it was first recorded, Sultan believes the time has finally come to share the song with the world.

“This song has been with me for seven years,” Sultan said. “When COVID-19 changed the world, we had to stop filming the music video, and everything was put on hold. As time passed, I realized this song deserved the right moment. Today, I finally feel that moment has arrived.”

Scheduled for release on 24 August 2026, “Aku Cinta Malaysia” is more than a new single. For Sultan, it represents the completion of a journey that began long before audiences ever knew the song existed.

Performed in Malay and Arabic, the song is a heartfelt tribute celebrating Malaysia’s multicultural identity, friendship, appreciation, and the cultural connections that have shaped Sultan’s life and artistic journey over the years.

Before the official release, audiences will receive their first glimpse of the project through the official trailer, premiering next week. The nearly two-minute trailer opens with a simple but emotional greeting before the music begins:

    “Helo, Malaysia…”

    “Boleh dengar saya?”

    “…Saya dah sampai.”

Those opening words set the emotional tone for the project, welcoming audiences into a story inspired by gratitude, belonging, and Sultan’s enduring connection with Malaysia.

The official trailer was produced by NABIL INTERNATIONAL GROUP, MODIFY 5 SDN BHD, and THIRTY 8 LEGACY, with creative direction and trailer production by PULSE 3 Creative Team. Combining cinematic storytelling with imagery inspired by Malaysia’s landscapes, culture, and diversity, the trailer offers audiences a carefully crafted first look while preserving the emotional impact of the full release.

For Sultan, “Aku Cinta Malaysia” represents more than a song. It is a personal expression of gratitude to a country that has played an important role in his life and career, while celebrating the friendships, experiences, and inspiration that continue to shape his music.

After seven years of waiting, “Aku Cinta Malaysia” is finally ready to be shared with the world, marking the beginning of a new chapter that will also introduce additional singles and international collaborations from Sultan’s forthcoming album.
