In terms of more recent horror franchises, The Conjuring is possibly the biggest of them. Between the main films in the franchise, you also have Annabelle, The Nun, and their sequels. The main storyline of the films seems to have come to a recent close with 2025’s The Conjuring: Last Rites. But that’s not going to stop the Warrens from being in more films, though. Or at the very least, a young version of themselves. Now we know who’s playing them.

The upcoming The Conjuring: First Communion will star Garrett Wareing and Amanda Fix. Wareing has been spotted in a decent number of films recently. In 2016, he appeared in Independence Day: Resurgence, but more recently (and more critically approvingly) he showed up in The Long Walk. Fix has had a bit less of a filmography but has featured in Orphan Black: Echoes and the upcoming Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma.
More Conjuring on The Way
Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga previously played Ed and Lorraine Warren throughout the Conjuring franchise. Funnily enough, there already was a portrayal of the younger Warrens in The Conjuring: Last Rites. If you’ve seen the film, then you probably recall that the opening scenes featured the paranormal research duo in their younger days. But it looks like those actors didn’t make the cut, or maybe they were the wrong age for the upcoming movie being planned.
It’s still going to be a while until we get to see the new kids in action. The prequel entry in The Conjuring franchise isn’t going to hit theaters until September 10th, 2027. We also reported on an upcoming television series set in that universe. Details have been sparse, but we’re interested in seeing how that’s coming along. Any way that you look at it, there’s plenty of Conjuring mayhem to go around.
