Prime Video has officially renewed Hazbin Hotel for a fifth and final season. They announced the renewal at a packed LVL UP Expo panel.

Creator Vivienne Medrano had outlined their plan for five seasons from the start. Season 5 is exactly what was promised. The show had been renewed through season 4 long, but so far only the first two seasons are out.

Medrano told Anime News Network, “I’m so thankful for how Prime Video has championed our vision at SpindleHorse, and I’m grateful for their partnership and commitment to bringing Hazbin Hotel to its epic conclusion. I’m so excited for fans to see how this story ends.”

The series by A24 and FOX Entertainment’s Bento Box Entertainment returns to Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. Medrano is executive producing her own show and directs every episode with fellow executive producer Dana Tafoya-Cameron.

The series follows crown princess of Hell, Erika Henningsen-voiced Charlie Morningstar. She opens a hotel to rehabilitate sinners for the purpose of going to Heaven. Other cast members include Stephanie Beatriz as Vaggie, Alex Brightman as Adam and Sir Pentious, and Blake Roman as Angel Dust. The cast also features Amir Talai as Alastor.

    Originating as a YouTube Pilot

After a pilot on YouTube funded by Patreon, the series premiered on Prime Video in January 2024. The series made history as the largest global launch on the streaming platform for a new animated series. Season 2 followed on October 29, 2025.

Melissa Wolfe, Head of Animation at Amazon MGM Studios, said in a statement that “from its inception, Hazbin Hotel has pushed the boundaries of adult animation through bold storytelling, vibrant artistry, and unapologetic heart.”

The franchise has expanded beyond the main series. In 2025, Hazbin Hotel: Live on Broadway became the first ever concert event for the series. It was hosted by Henningsen at New York’s Majestic Theatre on Oct. 20, a concert coinciding with the Season 2 premiere. That special is now available on Prime Video.

Also announced at LVL UP Expo, the first half of Helluva Boss Season 3 will be released on Prime Video in Fall 2026. The second half will be coming in 2027. Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel make up the “Hellaverse” universe.

No release date for Season 5 yet. Stay Tuned!
