Lionsgate recently acquired the rights to adapt Paul Tremblay’s 2015 novel A Head Full of Ghosts. Now, Fiona Dourif (The Pitt) has joined the cast for the upcoming horror film!
She’ll be joining the previously announced David Harbour (Stranger Things), Rebecca Hall (The Beauty), Esmé Creed-Miles (Hanna), Bodhi Rae Breathnach (Hamnet), and newcomer Hollie Hill-Pearson.

A Head Full of Ghosts follows a suburban family whose lives are torn apart when their daughter, Marjorie, starts acting strangely. Her descent into madness is played off as a possession for a 2000’s reality show. The story picks up 15 years later, following her sister Merry. She and a journalist seek to uncover the truth about what really happened in her childhood home.
Hill-Pearson will portray a young version of Merry, with Creed-Miles as her adult counterpart. Breathnach plays her older sister Marjorie, with Dourif and Harbour cast as their parents. Veronika Franz (Goodnight Mommy) and Severin Fiala (The Devil’s Bath) co-write and direct.
Daniel Dubiecki and Lara Alameddine are producing for The Allegiance Theater. Susan Downey and Robert Downey Jr. will produce for Team Downey, with David Gambino and Fifth Season. Scott O’Brien andBrandon Hill are overseeing production for Lionsgate.
We’ll keep you posted on updates about A Head Full of Ghosts as the project develops.
