Last week, Grammy Award-winning rapper Megan Thee Stallion made her Broadway debut in Moulin Rouge! The Musical. Making history as the 1st woman to perform the role of The Zidler.

Unfortunately, last night she had to exit the show mid-performance. It was confirmed later that she was hospitalized for undisclosed reasons.

“During Tuesday night’s production, Megan started feeling very ill and was promptly transported to a local hospital, where her symptoms are currently being evaluated,” her representative, Didier Morais, told The Hollywood Reporter. “We will share additional updates as more information becomes available.”

Her hospitalization was also confirmed by hairstylist and close friend, Kellon Deryck.

Everyone say a prayer for Megan, we are all at the hospital 🙏

According to audience member Loren LoRosa, Megan did some of the opening scenes before the show was stopped. An announcement was made for the audience to ”stay inside and seated.” Once Moulin Rouge started back up, the role of The Zidler was taken over by another, also amazing, actor.

We wish Megan Thee Stallion a full and speedy recovery.
