Signs you’re a bit too good at gaming

Whether you’ve mastered the Switch 2 and games like Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition, or you’re a dedicated PC gamer who can’t resist reigning supreme in Hades 2, then you might be simply too good at the games you’re immersing yourself in. However, some gamers think they’re better than they actually are. It happens.

Of course, there’s nothing wrong with backing yourself and your gaming-related abilities, but it might be worth assessing just how strong you are at a specific product before sharing it in the group chat. Be it through a Crown Coins casino sweepstakes experience after making the most of a first-purchase bonus or a Fortnite battle after taking down waves of rivals with new weapons, all gamers have their preferred gaming experiences. However, some players are simply ahead of the crowd, given their knowledge, skill, and all-around dedication.

With that in mind, below we highlight some clear signs to look out for, all of which indicate that you’re probably a bit too good at gaming. If you fit the bill, we salute you!

    It’s effortless

In the same way sports stars make it look so easy at times, it’s also effortless for gamers who win a lot. The flow state they enter makes them the envy of their buddies, with their skill level being hard to fathom given how relaxed they are while smashing through the levels, recording ridiculously high scores, and winning online tournaments and the like.

    New mechanics? No problem

While some gamers struggle to grasp new game mechanics, expert players take minutes to master them. Instead of spending an hour or so getting to grips with a fresh release, diehard gamers who are used to succeeding can jump straight in and feel comfortable quickly.

    Maps memoriser

Highly skilled players are also naturals at learning extensive maps. Sometimes, all it takes is a few matches, and a dangerous player already knows an environment in extensive detail. Given the number of similar games they’ve played and mastered, it’s essentially just another map to memorize.

Nobody wants to play against you

Another clear sign that you’re a gamer not to be messed with is the way in which your friends and family simply don’t want to take you on in a virtual battle. While they’re always open to teaming up and joining forces in a specific title, the tone of the conversation completely changes when you suggest an intense clash to see who comes out on top. Essentially, they know they’re probably going to lose if they decide to take you on.

    You’re branded a cheater

If you do manage to eventually arrange a matchup against a loved one, there’s a strong chance you’ll be branded a cheater. Losing hurts, and while you might not be used to it, players on the receiving end of a battering struggle to deal with a successive run of defeats. As a result of this, you might be accused of hacking and more.

    Gaming is life

Just because an individual spends most of their time gaming, it doesn’t mean they’re adept at it. However, it does suggest their chances of dominating battles are stronger. If gaming is your life and nothing else matters, then you’re probably a superb player given the number of hours you put into fine-tuning your game.

    Maximum difficulty only

Sure, normal modes are there for a reason, and they work for millions of passionate gamers on the planet, but top gamers don’t ever consider opting for them. Instead, maximum difficulty is the only viable option here, especially if you’re seeking a proper challenge.
