Another one bites the dust. The Ocean’s Eleven‘s prequel project has now lost it’s director Lee Isaac Chung. He’s reportedly left the production over creative differences with Warner Bros. and LuckyChap Entertainment. Margot Robbie is set to produce and star in the upcoming film, but losing yet another director is a huge setback. Chung had originally taken over after Jay Roach exited the project earlier in development.
The prequel which was written by Carrie Solomon was planned to be a 1960s-set heist story in Europe that expands the world of the long-running Ocean’s franchise. Robbie is expected to lead the film, and Bradley Cooper has been discussed as a possible co-star.
Even though the project has lost yet another director, Warner Bros. insists that the split was amicable. The studio still intends to move forward with the film while searching for yet another replacement director.
