20 years ago, Greg McLean’s first “Wolf Creek” film hit theaters, and introduced us to fictitious serial killer Mick Taylor. Now, Cineverse’s horror arm Bloody Disgusting has confirmed “Wolf Creek Legacy” is currently shooting!
“Legacy” will be directed by Sean Lahiff (“Carnifex”) from a script by Duncan Samarasinghe.

“Wolf Creek Legacy”
It will be the 3rd feature film entry into the series, alongside a TV show that ran for 2 seasons.
John Jarratt will return to play Mick, the outback’s most deadly serial killer. The upcoming film centers around an American family on the trip of a lifetime to the Australian outback. Unfortunately, they grab the attention of Mick, who decides to attack the family. The two children escape only to be hunted down and tortured as well.
Jarratt stars alongside Ditch Davey (“Spartacus”), Laura Gordon (“Late Night with the Devil”), Stacy Clausen (“Leviticus”), Charli Penton (“Neighbours”), Anni Finsterer (“Sweet Country”), Meg Fraser (“Barons”), Carlos Sanson Jr. (“Bump”), Maria Thattil (“Empire City”), Connor Pullinger (“The Hunting”), and Michael Teng.
Franchise creator Greg McLean will produce the project alongside Kristian Moliere, Bianca Martino, and Jeremy Bolt.
“We’re thrilled to be bringing Aussie horror icon Mick Taylor back to the screen,” McLean said in a statement. “As the creator of Wolf Creek, I can’t wait for audiences to experience the next chapter of this franchise—bigger, darker, and more relentless than ever.”
“With director Sean Lahiff at the helm, a powerhouse cast led by the legendary John Jarratt and an incredible crew behind us, we’re ready to unleash the Outback’s deadliest killer on the world once again,” McLean adds. “Mick’s back… and the hunt is on.”
“Wolf Creek Legacy” is currently shooting in South Australia. There is no release date set for this project just yet. We’ll keep you posted on updates as they become available.
