Dunkin is Now Selling Buckets of Coffee

Ever woken up and thought, this cup of coffee ain’t gonna do it? I think this almost daily but that’s ok, I just have a second cup. Dunkin Donuts has gone one step further and is now offering BUCKETS of delicious coffee drinks. 48 ounces of liquid that you’ll probably immediately have to pee several times after consuming.

If you want a comparison to what a regular cup of coffee is, a regular cup is about 8-12 ounces. I like to make mine 12 ounces. So if we add all of that up, it’s about 4 cups of large cups of coffee. Enough to hopefully last you throughout the day.

    Buckets of Doom

To make things easier to carry they added a handle to the large container. They’ve also added a straw so you can sip on it all day. Or chug it like a maniac.

These collectible buckets can be filled with Ice Coffee, Iced Lattes or Dunkin’ Refreshers. You can also fill them with one of the “featured creations” like Blueberry Cobbler Iced Latte. We would love to have the Strawberry Dragon fruit Lemonade Refresher on hand. But we’d probably share it if it were that much. Bonus points if you ask them to fill it with NO ICE so that you get more drink for your money.

No matter how you split this it’s A LOT of caffeine. Enough to last you through the day? Well that probably depends on how tired you were to begin with. And then if you have ADHD you’ll probably just want to take a nap.

The buckets are double the size of an ‘extra large’ hot beverage which is 24 ounces. 50% larger than Dunkin’s largest cold drink which is 32 ounces. And then you can ask for shots of espresso to be added at an additional cost. Seriously you could go super crazy with this.

    How much do they cost?

These buckets are said to cost between $8 and $11 dollars. A Steal really if you buy a regular drink at around $7. They are telling customers that this is a limited run and some locations have already ran out of the buckets. But that doesn’t mean they won’t make more for a wider release.

    Where are These Buckets Available?

So far they’re only in select locations, unfortunately. Massachusetts and New Hampshire currently have them. And so far they haven’t confirmed extending the release nationally which is not cool. Dunkin, you can’t just show us this shiny new thing and expect the whole nation not to want to get one, even if it’s just for the novelty of it.

Is a National Release on the Horizon?

Food Network asked whether a bigger release was in the cards and the answer was a very diplomatic MAYBE. They said they’re keeping an eye on how people react online to decide whether or not they will roll this out nationally. I think it would be a good way to pick up coffee for the office, just get like 4-5 buckets and the whole team can be fueled up.
