The New Mando and Grogu Trailer Just Dropped and Fans are Excited!

The official trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu has arrived, offering us the first glimpse at the upcoming Star Wars theatrical return.

Fans are excited to see the Pedro Pascal back as Din Djarin alongside little Grogu on the big screen. This will be the first Star Wars theatrical release since 2019’s The Rise of Skywalker which had many fans divided. The ONE thing that’s brought all fans together though? It’s “Baby Yoda” aka Grogu.

The Mandalorian and Grogu is helmed by series creator Jon Favreau, who returns to direct the film. Favreau also produces alongside Kathleen Kennedy and Dave Filoni. Pedro Pascal is back as Din Djarin — and yes, it looks like we may actually see his face again. The movie also brings Sigourney Weaver into the Star Wars universe as a New Republic leader trying to maintain a fragile peace in the galaxy.

“This isn’t about revenge, its about preventing another war.”

Jeremy Allen White is joining the franchise too, playing Rotta, Jabba the Hutt’s son, and the trailer hints he’ll have a bigger role than many fans expected. Meanwhile, Jonny Coyne appears to be reprising his role as the Imperial warlord first introduced through the Shadow Council storyline in season three of The Mandalorian, suggesting those lingering Imperial threats aren’t going anywhere just yet.

And yes, this probably means you should rewatch season three so you can pick out all the nuances in the new film.

Fans can expect it to hit theaters on May 22, 2026.
