In March of 2024, Jagged Edge Productions and ITN Studios announced “Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble.” It will have several of the studio’s “Twisted Childhood Universe” characters in an “Avengers“-style horror crossover.

Jagged Edge has confirmed film will begin shooting this summer!

Rhys Frake-Waterfield (“Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey” films), creator of the Poohniverse, will write and direct.

“Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble” will have heroes and villains from “Blood and Honey,” “Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare,” “Bambi: The Reckoning,” and Waterfield’s upcoming “Pinocchio: Unstrung.” There have even been rumblings about other public domain characters joining the party, like “Sleeping Beauty,” “Alice in Wonderland,” and “Mary Poppins.”

“As horror fans, we would love an Avengers that is all villains,” Scott Chambers, founder/CEO of Jagged Edge, previously said. “It’d have Freddy Krueger, Jason, ‘Halloween,’ ‘Scream,’ all of those. Obviously that will never happen, but we can make it happen in our own little way, and that’s where this film has been born.”

Chambers will also be directing “Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 3,” which is slated to begin shooting in May. Working from a script by Richard Stanley (“Color Out of Space”), making it the first film in the trilogy not written or directed by Waterfield.

We’ll keep you posted on updates about “Monsters Assemble” and the rest of the Poohniverse as projects develop. You can read the announcement below:
