Last month, Cynthia Erivo (“Wicked”) joined the voice cast of the upcoming animated musical “Bad Fairies.” It’s been confirmed that Erivo will be co-starring with Ncuti Gatwa (“Doctor Who,” “Sex Education”)!
The feature is directed by Megan Nicole Dong (“Centaur World”) and Olivier Staphylas from a script by Deborah Frances-White (“Say My Name”). It will follow a group of, you guessed it, misbehaving fairies shaking up the world of magic.

Music for the film is written by Tony Award–winners Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss (“Six: The Musical”), with 7-time Grammy-nominee Isabella Summers (Florence + The Machine) contributing and composing the score.
“Bad Fairies” is currently in production in London and is slated to hit theaters on May 21, 2027
