October 6th marks National Noodle Day, celebrating one of our country’s most popular foods. But what if we told you there is a dark side? A conspiracy by big pastas like linguine, angel hair, and the stately rigatoni threatens to take this beloved holiday away from noodles and usurp it for the glory of pasta.
Nissin Foods, makers of Cup Noodles and Top Ramen, are imploring the public not to fall for these lies and to take back National Noodle Day! Deeming this dangerous coup a Ramen Rebellion, and they want you to join them.

The Battle For National Noodle Day
On October 2nd, the company took its mission to New York and Chicago. Setting up strategic locations in front of pasta strongholds like Olive Garden, Buca di Beppo, and Barilla’s headquarters. Cup Noodles’ official mascot even stopped by Eataly in New York City to let people know the revolution has begun.
“Pasta has had its time as the center of attention on National Noodle Day, and we feel it’s beyond time for a new ‘face’ of the day,” said Priscila Stanton, Senior Vice President of Marketing, Nissin Foods USA. “We want ramen fans to step up and claim what is rightfully theirs. Ramen Noodles that come in a variety of flavors and are not bound to rigid tradition. Ramen noodles that are ready whenever and wherever they are. Let’s make this October 6 a day to remember – and savor!”

Those willing to fight for the rights of noooooodles can join the revolution by signing the “Justice for Ramen” petition. Demanding that big pasta keep its starchy hands off of National Noodle Day. You can also help fight the good fight by tagging pictures of your Nissin-based dishes with @originaltopramen and @originalcupnoodles, and get more eyes on this cause.
