Oscar-nominated actress Mary McDonnell (“Battlestar Galactica“) has some big roles in the works. It’s just been confirmed that she will be joining Marvel’s “Vision” series and the upcoming thriller “One Second After.”

“Vision”
The Emmy winner’s role in Disney+’s upcoming series has not been disclosed at this time. McDonnell will star alongside returning MCU alum Paul Bettany as Vision and James Spader as Ultron. The series serves as a follow-up to his hit series, “WandaVision.” Terry Matalas (“Star Trek: Picard“) serves as showrunner. Photography for the project wrapped this summer, and a release window is still not set.
“One Second After”
This film will adapt William R. Forstchen’s 2009 sci-fi novel of the same name. “One Second After” is directed by Scott Rogers from a script by J. Michael Straczynski. It will star McDonnell, Josh Holloway, and Hannah John-Kamen.
The film takes place after an electromagnetic pulse attack throws society into chaos. It follows Jen (McDonnell), mother-in-law to John (Holloway), who looks after his daughters in this new world.
We’ll keep you posted on updates about these and McDonnell’s other upcoming projects as they develop.
