“Twilight” Saga Returns to Theaters This October

Has it really been 20 years since the “Twilight” book series hit store shelves? It’s hard to believe but apparently that’s exactly the case. For two decades readers have had the chance to dive into the saga of Bella Swan and her supernatural romance with Edward Cullen. Or if you want to look at it another way, it’s been twenty years of those damned sparkly vampires eating up popular culture! Any way you slice it, there’s no denying the profound effect the series has had on the cultural zeitgeist. This October, you’ll be able to rewatch the films inspired by the books, thanks to Fathom Entertainment.

We literally just reported on another October rerelease from Fathom in the form of “The Dark Crystal.” Fathom has brought a number of movies back to the big screen through participating theaters, and now the Twilight saga is set to join those ranks. The four main books, Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn were adapted into five films, with the last book in the series being broken into two parts. From 2008 to 2012, one film was released per year while its main stars, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson rose to global stardom.

Not one of the films was critically beloved, the highest any of them got on Rotten Tomatoes was a 49%, but they connected with audiences who eventually broke down into Team Jacob and Team Edward. You had to be there at the time. Either way, you can relive that time to an extent from October 29th to November 2nd. Over that five-day span each one of the films will be playing sequentially. So “Twilight” on October 29th, “New Moon” on October 30th, and so on. So, if you were concerned with consuming them all at once, you don’t have to worry about being that drained of your energy, or blood.

Head to Fathom’s website to review their slate of releases and find a participating theater near you.
