    LFF Critics Support Fund Launched For 2025

    Attention critics and journalists living outside of London! The London Film Festival (LFF) has launched its annual critics support fund for the third year in a row. This fund seeks to help critics and journalists from low income backgrounds by covering their LFF accreditation fee.

    All applicants must meet the following criteria:

    • Earn less than £25,000 a year
    • Live beyond the M25
    • Are in full or part-time education
    • Are unemployed or in receipt of benefits including PIP or state pension
    • Have childcare or caring responsibilities
    • Have to take unpaid leave to attend LFF
    • Will be paying for travel into London or accommodation to attend the festival
    • Have a physical disability, neurodivergence or related condition that may require adjustments for your festival experience

    The critics support fund actively encourages applications for writers belonging to underrepresented groups. These backgrounds include but are not limited to; “women, trans and non-binary identifying, BAME, LGBTQ+, neurodivergent and/or disabled,” the application reads. While they would like to put more focus on critics living outside of London. They are accepting all requests from those facing financial hardship.

    Eligible critics can apply using this form by Wednesday, September 10th, 11:59 P.M. (BST). Successful applicants will be notified on Monday, September 15th.
