    Dave Bautista Will be The Kurgan in Henry Cavill “Highlander”

    Okay, every time we hear something new about Chad Stahelski‘s upcoming take on “Highlander,” we get more excited. First, it was Stahlski himself helming the project; with his action track record, who could do it better at this point? Then, it was Henry Cavill tapped to play the lead. And THEN it was Russell Crowe as well! Well, today’s news is just as good, if not more exciting because Dave Bautista (“Dune“) will reportedly be taking on the villainous role of The Kurgan!

    Considering Bautista’s impressive experience with various types of swords and bladed weapons at this point, this is a brilliant bit of casting.

    Cavill will play Duncan MacLeod, while Crowe will play Ramirez (no word on if the character still be Egyptian or not).

    Marisa Abela has also joined the cast, but no information about her role is known yet.
