“Evil Dead” Sequel Lands Release Date

Of all the horror franchises that have been brought back over the last decade or so, “Evil Dead” is one that has been surprising to us both in its quality and its odd release pattern. When 2013’s reboot did wonderful numbers at the box office, we didn’t think we’d end up having to wait 10 years for another sequel. Sure enough, we did, and it brought us the also fantastic, “Evil Dead Rise.” We won’t have to wait another decade though for another installment, since the next one is hitting in the summer of 2026.

While we don’t know the plot details for this next saga in the gore-filled franchise, we do know who will be starring in it. Fresh out of “Dune: Part 2: Souheila Yacoub will be front and center. Not sure if she’ll be facing off against deadites, becoming one, or battling some other monstrosity, most things are fair game in the world of Evil Dead.”

Meanwhile, Sébastien Vaniček will be directing the film that he’s co-written with Florent Bernard. Vaniček is mostly known for his 2023 creature feature, “Infested” which feels like the modern day “Arachnophobia” film we never got. Meanwhile, Bernard wrote “Infested” meaning this upcoming edition to the Sam Raimi created series will see the two coming back together to create more chills and let more blood flow.

Raimi will still be on board as a producer as will Ash himself, Bruce Campbell as an executive producer. Seems like it has all the right people and all the right names coming together. It’s easily one of the most consistent horror franchises in terms of overall quality and we hope to see that streak continue when the film hits theaters next year. Specifically on July 24th, 2026.
