Legendary Figures That Feature in Casino Games

    Frank Sinatra

It is not hard to think about legendary figures who are associated with the casino world. Probably none more legendary than Frank Sinatra and his Ratpack. He was one of the entertainers who first put Vegas on the map and was a fixture of the town for forty-three years. He first performed there in September 1951 and was still crooning in May 1984.

Sinantra’s first performance was at the Desert Inn (little more than a glorified motel), and his last was at the 5,000-seater MGM Grand. His favourite haunt was the now-demolished Sands Hotel, where he both stayed and performed at least three times a year, often holding residencies.

After Sinatra’s death in 1988, actor Gregory Peck said,

“With his little gang of merry men, he established forever a sense of free-floating fun and frolic that captured the imagination of the world.”

He paved the way for hundreds of other entertainment stars who went on to grace Vegas’ stages and established the idea of the residency. Everyone from Lady Gaga to Janet Jackson, Garth Brooks, Adele, and Drake have enjoyed sell-out shows in the self-proclaimed gambling capital of the world.

    Drake

Talking of Drake, it is hard to mention the words gambling and celebrity without thinking of him.  While he does not actually feature in a casino game, he has, in some respects, turned himself into a casino game.  Drake is infamous for placing enormous and not terribly successful bets. However, his latest ‘bet’ with crypto casino Stake seems to be coming up roses.

The Canadian rapper has hosted several streamed events known as Drake Vs. Stake, where he has been known to make gigantic wagers in his own live roulette gameplay. As well as chalking up some significant wins for himself, he also hands out Bitcoin packages of between $20,000 and $75,000 to online players during the course of the stream. To date, there have been at least five such events, with around $1 million worth of crypto being won each time.

However, Drake does not seem to have mastered when to cash out. In one stream, he started with $8.5 million, topped out at almost $27.2 million, but finished up with less than $2,000 by the end of the session. However, the rumour is that he is not playing with his own money and the casino is fronting the money for his outlandish bets.

    Finding fun slots

If the idea of playing roulette for millions of dollars makes your hair stand on end, there are plenty of low-stakes celebrity casino games to choose from. It is even possible to play free casino games featuring legendary figures; you just need to know where to look. Many online casinos offer no-deposit bonuses, demo versions, and free spins, allowing you to try all kinds of games for free. As many icons and legends feature in slot games, you can choose which games you want to play. Here are some of the top-slots that feature legends and celebrities.

    Elvis Presley

If Frank Sinatra was known as the ‘King of The Swingers’, the undoubted ‘King of Rock and Roll was Elvis Presley, and no one has ever been able to knock him off that top spot. He, too, was a lover of Vegas, and he has a slot game to memorialize him. In fact, it claims to have brought him back to life!

Elvis the King Lives by WMS Gaming will leave you ‘all shook up’ with its graphics and entertaining interface, set to some of Presley’s most legendary music. All the symbols tell his story, from Blue Suede shoes to his Guitar, a Big Hunk O’ Love, a Teddy Bear, and a Hound Dog. The game opens with a slideshow of his photographs with music playing in the background.

    Guns N’ Roses

Guns N’ Roses – more rock than roll and absolute legends of the music world need no introduction. Net Ent has managed to capture the essence of this 1980s hard rock band into an impressive slot game. It features a soundtrack of some of GNR’s biggest hits that blast out whenever a player hits a bonus or a big win. The reels are framed within a concert screen, so it feels like you are playing a slot machine and watching a concert simultaneously. Reviewers rave about features exclusive to this game, and the graphics have all the iconic GNR symbolism you would expect.

    Marilyn Monroe

This Marilyn Monroe slot takes us back to the glamour and glitz of old-time movies. Born Norma Jean, Marilyn was the quintessential movie star, pin-up girl, and all-around legend. Infamous for her saucy laugh, breathy whisper, and platinum blond hair, they do not make stars like this these days.

Playtech’s game features her in all her glory and has iconic images, including the figure-hugging red dress, dazzling red-lipped smile, and the billowing white skirt over the subway grate. As Marilyn said, ‘Some like it hot,’ and this game will get you in a spin. It has a swinging jazz soundtrack, and the symbols include traditional playing cards, her Walk of Fame star, an old movie camera, and iconic Marilyn magazine covers.

    Gordon Ramsay

King of the Kitchen Gordon Ramsay is known for his fiery temper and top-class chef skills. He really is a legend in his own lunchtime, and the level of perfectionism that one finds in his restaurants is replicated in Net Ent’s Hell’s Kitchen.

This 5-reel, 3-row video slot features Ramsay’s Wilds feature, Team Challenge Free Spins with Order Up features, and Gordon’s Bonus Game. It is packed with all the flavour, excitement, and intensity you would expect from Ramsay and even features his explosive, expletive-laden catchphrases.

Gordon Ramsay first appeared on our TV screens in 1998 on Boiling Point and has since become a global personality renowned for his fiery temper and highly-honed-cutting wit. The internationally renowned restaurateur has an empire of eateries that spreads from the UK and France to Singapore, Hong Kong, and the US. He has 16 Michelin stars under his chef’s hat – the question is, can you match up to his legendary service?
