As the release date for the live-action remake of “How to Train Your Dragon” approaches, the marketing campaign is heating up. Roughly two months after the first teaser trailer, we just got a second one. While the teasers are very similar, this latest release gives us a bit more about Hiccup and Toothless’ first meeting.

This live-action version is written, directed, and produced by Dean DeBlois, who also directed the animated trilogy!

    Universal

This live-action film is still based on Cressida Cowell‘s fantasy novel series of the same name. Like its animated counterpart, it follows the adventures of Hiccup (Mason Thames) as he befriends a rare Night Fury dragon named Toothless. The unlikely pair set out to create a bond between Vikings and dragons.

This new teaser, called “Warrior,” gives us a bit more about the young Viking and baby dragon’s first encounter. Hiccup is expected to kill the animal but instead cuts through its restraints. Scared and confused, the dragon goes to attack the boy, which he somehow escapes. Once Hiccup convinces Toothless that he means him no harm, they begin to bond.

Julian Dennison (“Deadpool 2”), Gabriel Howell (“Bodies”), Bronwyn James (“Wicked”), Harry Trevaldwyn (“Smothered”), Ruth Codd (“The Midnight Club”), BAFTA nominee Peter Serafinowicz (“Guardians of the Galaxy”), and Murray McArthur (“Game of Thrones”).

“How to Train Your Dragon” is set to hit theaters on June 13th, 2025. You can check out the new teaser below:
