In October 2024, fans were thrilled to hear that American celebrity Sharon Stone is joining Marc Maron in the Oscar-oriented indie comedy . Known for her captivating performances in films like Casino (1995) and Basic Instinct (1992), Stone’s career now spans almost five decades. With the announcement of In Memoriam, anticipation is growing as audiences wait for the iconic Academy and Golden Globe awardee to bring her unique energy and depth to another standout role.

From her enduring impact on screen to her recent accomplishments off-screen, fans are eager to follow the actress’ journey. Below, we’ll take a closer look at the next chapters of her career.

Beyond her success in acting, Stone has a shining reputation built on her years advocating for gender equality, HIV/AIDS research, and women’s brain health issues. Hence, it’s no surprise that the A-lister has endorsed a long list of brands since she started her career in 1976. Some endorsements have found more success than others — one being her collaboration with the international eyewear retailer LensCrafters. In February 2024, LensCrafters announced a renewed partnership with Stone as the face of the brand’s new 2024 marketing campaign, “Your Eyes First.” This marks Stone’s third consecutive year with the brand.

Known for her timeless appeal, Stone expressed excitement about returning to this partnership, emphasizing the brand’s blend of high-quality eye care with fashion-forward frames that suit every style. Captured by photographer Eric Michael Roy, the campaign features Stone donning designer frames from Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, and Burberry. These can be found in LensCrafters’ range of eyeglasses online on their official website, ensuring that fans can connect with Stone’s signature style from anywhere across the world. Whether it’s Dolce & Gabbana’s DG3404 or Burberry’s BE2410, these stylish frames reflect the actress’ sophisticated taste, cementing Stone’s role as a style icon for millions.

Many citizens have been eagerly waiting for news of Stone’s return to the film industry. Her sudden replacement by Susan Sarandon and departure from  in 2022 left many wondering what her next move in Hollywood would be, especially as she failed to appear in any films in the succeeding year. The actress has been known to take several hiatuses from acting since surviving a stroke in 2001, and another long-term break would not have been unheard of for long-time fans.

The year 2024, however, has marked a significant comeback. She returned to the screen in What About Love, released in February, and just a few months later, in July, news broke of her joining the cast of Nobody 2. The succeeding announcement of In Memoriam only underscored this resurgence, creating a wave of excitement around Stone’s career evolution. Directed by Rob Burnett, In Memoriam is a heartfelt comedy that follows a veteran actor (played by Maron) who, after receiving a terminal diagnosis, becomes fixated on securing his spot in the Oscars’ “In Memoriam” montage. Stone’s character, one of the actor’s former wives and a former major movie star, promises to bring a unique dynamic to the story.

Stone’s upcoming performances are particularly exciting because of her broader life passions, which have kept her busy in recent years. Notably, she’s invested time in painting and has exhibited her work internationally, with My Eternal Failure opening in San Francisco’s Gallery 181 in April and Totem displaying in Berlin’s Galerie Deschler in May. Adding to this, Stone shared a personal milestone in August when she dropped off her second son at college in Utah, where he’s studying medicine.

As Sharon Stone’s schedule begins to fill up once again, it’s clear that her artistic evolution and resilient spirit continue to resonate, both on and off the screen. Fans can look forward to seeing how her recent personal growth will shape her upcoming performances as she embraces the next chapter of her career.
