Rapper and producer Diddy (Sean Combs) has been making headlines recently for some heinous reasons. Accusations of sex trafficking, a video of him attacking his girlfriend, and other things. It’s not an easy subject to talk about but it does lead directly into some more recent news about 50 Cent and his long time feud with Diddy. As the depth of Diddy’s depravity keeps getting worse and worse, life is getting better and better for Fiddy, considering he just managed to sell a documentary about his rival to Netflix.

Diddy’s career has been marked with a number of legal issues for years. Some of these issues have increased in severity and frequency with allegations of abuse. In recent weeks, a 2016 video clearly shows Diddy physically assaulting his then girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, despite the music moguel releasing a video denying any wrongdoing. (He’s since issued a second statement.) Meanwhile, 50 Cent had been working on a different kind of video for sometime.
There have been rumors about Diddy’s behavior for years, and Fiddy was keen to revel in them. In fact, he was so invested in them that he had been talking up a documentary series about Diddy that had been in the works. Netflix just bought it in a bidding war. Is it any coincidence this happens shortly after the video materializes of him physically assaulting his girlfriend? Of course not. That video opened the floodgates on turning allegations into actualities.

This docuseries is a big win for Netflix. As is fully evident from the feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar, diss tracks and rivalries are still big attention draws in the music community and social media. Combine that with the status of 50 Cent and Diddy, and the things Diddy has been accused of, and you get a massive storm of controversy and interest.
Whether 50 Cent is making this documentary for the sake of justice or out of contempt for Diddy, it seems like it could be an avenue for more alleged victims to have their stories told. We don’t have any details of what the docuseries will focus on. This is an ongoing saga with surely more to come. We’ll let you know what we hear about this and other news.
