For those of you who have been keeping up to date on the “One Piece” anime on Crunchyroll we’ve got some good news for you! The English premiere of episodes 1062 to 1073 will be airing on the streaming platform on May 5th. May 5th also happens to be the Straw Hat captain’s birthday! What an excellent way to celebrate the future King of the Pirates! Fans are encouraged to join the celebration and experience the thrills of Luffy’s latest adventures, available in select territories, starting at 4pm PT.
These episodes include the groundbreaking Episode 1071 – where Luffy unveils his Gear Five transformation, a major milestone in the series. Gear five is the culmination of all his hard work and fighting experience and is quite the spectacle. Here’s the synopsis for the upcoming episode which can be watched in Japanese currently on the platform:
Bouncing on the ground and becoming a giant, Luffy enjoys his new, bizarre power while Kaido is bewildered and can’t make sense of it. Meanwhile, Kid, Law, and Luffy’s other allies continue the fight down below against flames and enemies alike, waiting for Luffy to emerge victorious.
