We’re less than 10 days out from seeing what Disney+ animated series “X-Men ’97” has in store. Taking its cues from the ending of the still-awesome “X-Men: The Animated Series,” Professor X has left Earth to travel the galaxy with Shi’Ar Empress Lilandra, searching for a cure for his terminal illness.

In “X-Men ’97,” Storm and Wolverine try to continue the X-Men. Magneto comes in and wants to step up for Charles Xavier. Mr. Sinister comes in to try to end the X-Men once and for all.

    Voice Cast

Some of the original “X-Men” voice cast are back as their characters, like Lenore Zann as Rogue, Cal Dodd as Wolverine, and George Buza as Beast.

Ray Chase as Cyclops, Jennifer Hale as Jean Grey, A.J. LoCascio as Gambit, JP Karliak as Morph, Adrian Hough as Nightcrawler, Matthew Waterson as Magneto, Alison Sealy-Smith as Storm, Holly Chou as Jubilee, Isaac Robinson-Smith as Bishop, Chris Britton as Mr. Sinister, Gil Birmingham as Forge, Ron Rubin as President Robert Kelly, Eric Bauza as the Sentinels, and Ross Marquand as Professor Charles Xavier

Original Jean Grey voice actor Catherine Disher is on cast, but she’ll be playing Valarie Cooper. Chris Potter, original Gambit voice actor, will be voicing Cable. Alyson Court, who voiced Jubilee in the original animated series, will play Abcissa.

Character Posters ala Classic Trading Cards

The series will premiere with two episodes on March 20th, only on Disney+. Check out the official trailer now:

Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.
