We had the chance to chat to two sitcom legends, Jon Cryer and Donald Faison about their new show, “Extended Family.”
Cryer plays Jim Kearny, the ex-husband of Abigail Spencer’s Julia. Faison stars as Trey Taylor, her new beau who just happens to own the Boston Celtics. We chatted about what their real life exes might remember fondly about them, or consider faults. As well as learning from the mistakes of the past, fondness for glabrous guys, and “Two and a Half Men” levels of success.

Jim and Julia, after an amicable divorce, decide to continue to raise their kids at the family home while taking turns on who gets to stay with them. Navigating the waters of divorce and child-sharing gets more complicated for Jim when Trey, the owner of his favorite sports team, enters the picture and wins Julia’s heart.
The cast also includes: Sofia Capanna (“Grace”) and Finn Sweeney (“Jimmy Jr.”).
“Extended Family” airs Tuesday, on NBC at 8:30PM ET/PT and is streaming the next day on Peacock.
