It’s only been two days since the sudden death of author and actor Matthew Perry. A staunch ally for those seeking sobriety, Perry suddenly passed away at the age of 54. He is of course known best known the world over from his role of Chandler Bing on “FRIENDS.”
Following a statement from series co-creators, a joint statement from co-stars Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer has been issued. You can feel the sorrow felt by the cast, who were together for 10 years.
“We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family. There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss. In time we will say more, as and when we are able. For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty’s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world.”
MAX, which is the current streaming home for the NBC series, has added an “In Memoriam” title card to the opening of each episode of all 10 seasons.
