Artist McMadmissile, also known as Evan, is currently fundraising for a second round of adorable cryptid plushies, called Careweres! This collection will introduce three new cryptids into the family,  vampire bats, wolpertingers, and beelzebears.

These excitable cryptids only have one serious character flaw, they bite, a lot. Happy? Bite. Sad? Bite. Mad? You guessed it, bite.

But what they lack in bite control, they more than makeup for in pure, unadulterated, adorable. Can you look past this (sometimes painful) shortcoming to befriend this cuddly cryptid?

Dandy Heart is cousins with Thistledown from the first collection. The two share a love of flowers, but Dandy Heart is also super into bugs. With their philosophy being, the more legs, the better.

If you name an insect, they probably have a book on it. So if you want cool bug facts (and who doesn’t?) this cuddly cryptid is for you!

Blazing Heart is true to their namesake, they have a strong will and uncompromising passion when they believe in something. While some may view this as pushy, they view it as a virtue. So if you need a tenacious pal by your side through life’s rough moments, Blazing Heart is for you.

Each of these giant plushies measures over 20 inches! And they are all perfectly floppy, squeezable, and covered in long, soft fur making them ultra cuddly.

The project is currently listed on Backerkit, even though it has already well surpassed its funding goal of $15,000. But this means you can still get in on the ground floor of the second series. As well as add on cool extras like pins, stickers, keychains, and lanyards. Several of McMadmissile’s streach goals also include adding even more cuddly critters to the line! Who doesn’t want to help bring more cute into the world?
