Holy unexpected cameo, Bat-fans! Adam West will posthumously appear in MAX’s “Batwheels” as the voice of the 1960s Batmobile. West famously portrayed the Caped Crusader in the 1966 “Batman” TV series and movie.

Warner Bros. Animation released a first look at the anthropomorphized classic Batmobile car-achter. West’s voice will join the cast of young sentient super-powered crime fighters: Bam the Batmobile (Jacob Bertrand), Redbird (Jordan Reed), Bibi (Madigan Kacmar), Buff (Noah Bentley), and more. The crime-fighting cars patrol Gotham City and keep it safe from the Badcomputer (SungWon Cho) and the Legion of Zoom. “Batwheels” is the number 1 original preschool series among boys ages 2-5, according to Max.

West passed away in 2017 at the age of 88, due to leukemia. He donned the cape and the cowl for 120 episodes for the live-action TV series from 1966 to 1968. His last performance as the dark knight was in 2017’s “Batman vs. Two-Face,” which was released following his passing. West’s prolific voice acting career included roles like Mayor Adam West from “Family Guy” and the “clawed crusader” Catman in “The Fairly Odd Parents.” To many fans, West is ranked as one of the best men to ever portray Batman.
“Batwheels” new episodes will air starting September 11th on Cartoon Network and stream on Max. The episode featuring West’s voice will air September 15th. Coincidentally Batman Day 2023 will be September 16th.
