“Indiana Jones” Orchestral Theme Causes Festival Mosh Pit

We tend to think of orchestral performances as a fairly high-class affair. Where people get all dressed up, and sit still while quietly listening to classical music. But the crowd at Oxfordshire’s Truck Fest had a very different way of appreciating the music.

Patrons at the UK festival started a mosh pit during a performance by Oxford Symphony Orchestra. Though in a fun twist, the pit quickly evolved into what we’ll call…synchronized moshing.  TikTok videos from Truck Fest show the crowd working together and dancing along with the music. Gone are the days of wildly flailing around in a circle! These concertgoers reached an entirely next level.

The group does a sweeping side-to-side motion in time to John Williams’ “Indiana Jones Theme.” They also jumped around on beat to Gioachino Rossini’s “William Tell Overture.” They even did some fancy pirouettes during Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s “Dance Of The Sugar Plum Fairies.” A feat that was made even more impressive by the fact they did it in the rain. The short video also shows celebrity guest Kermit The Frog getting in on the fun.

“This is it… the most British thing in ever caught on camera,” one TikToker commented on one of these bizarrely wonderful videos. All we can say is Truck Fest is certainly living up to its self-given title of “The UK’s most warped village fête.”

Tickets for next year’s Truck Festival [read as; mosh pit] are already on sale here. You can check out videos of the event below:
