Wanna See David Tennant’s 14th Doctor Sonic Screwdriver?

BBC has revealed what sonic screwdriver David Tennant will wield as the Fourteenth Doctor. News broke about Tennant’s return along with companion Catherine Tate to “Doctor Who” back in December.

From what we’ve seen from teasers, Tennant’s Fourteenth Doctor comes off as edgier than his previous turn in the role as the Tenth Doctor. The outfit may be similar for the two versions of the Doctor, but the color tones for Fourteen really give that edgy vibe. Thankfully Tennant still has amazing hair, though perhaps its more tousled to reflect how much The Doctor gone through.

The designs for the new screwdriver are just absolutely incredible. The marble and gold accents really draw your attention. There are also subtle accents that act as nods to previous Doctors. No information has been released as to when and where the sonic screwdriver will be available for purchase. Until then we can just stare at this magnificent teaser showing the sonic screwdriver in all it’s glory.

Tennant and Tate will return during the 60th anniversary special this November. Many fans of the series, myself included, are beyond excited for the new episodes. The British Sci-Fi series approaching its 60th anniversary is such a large milestone, the special will surely encapsulate the occasion. The fact the Tennant and Tate will be back together again shows that sassy remarks will be flying.

“Doctor Who” returns this November with three episodes, and the 60th anniversary special. Expect to see Fifteenth Doctor Ncuti Gatwa‘s introduction and first episode around this time, too.
