Actress Ming-Na Wen has made amazing strides in her career. Building a legacy to be proud of. From the voice of Mulan, to her roles as a doctor on “ER,” action hero across Marvel Studios and “Star Wars” projects, and so many more. That career is being honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Speakers for the celebration include Wen’s “The Joy Luck Club” co-stars Lauren Tom, Rosalind Chao, and Tamlyn Tomita. Hollywood Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Steve Nissen will act as emcee.

Hollywood Walk of Fame & Vice President Media Relations Ana Martinez is very excited for Wen to be receiving a star for her work. “Ming-Na Wen has had quite an iconic career! As Mulan, she inspired women everywhere to embrace their inner warrior,” Martinez said in a press release. “She has always been a supporter of and has always believed in lifting female artists especially women of color and we’re excited that we’re able to recognize her achievements on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.”

Wen has blazed a path so strong she’s leaves flames behind. Her strong acting chops and dynamite personality have charmed viewers and producers alike. While she’s largely known for her stoic, no-nonsense characters, Wen posesses a killer smile and a fantastic sense of humor. Proud to be a part of any series that has a strong cast and compelling story. Wen’s most recent roles and her previous work has also earned her the title of Disney Legend. A huge honor of its own. So it feels so right for her to get her own place among the stars of the Walk of Fame.

On May 30th at 11:30am, Wen will receive her star at 6840 Hollywood Blvd, which is right next to the El Capitan Theatre.
