3 Exciting and Unique Films Set in Las Vegas

Throughout history, there are some locations that have worked time and time again for a movie setting. It might be the Wild West for some cowboy action, New York City for the bright lights and expensive behaviour, or Las Vegas, Nevada for the hedonistic lifestyle that has become synonymous with guilt-free pleasure – made clear by the phrase ‘what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.’

There have been thousands of films shot in Las Vegas over the years, with most focusing on the gambling this location has become known for. Whether you’re watching a group of punters try to beat the casino the old-fashioned way or watching someone else try to rob the casino blind, Las Vegas films are usually high stakes and high action. It’s no wonder this location has proven to be so popular over the years – finding a good online casino, especially same day withdrawal online casinos, is something players across the world strive to achieve – if you can’t go to Las Vegas, why not bring Las Vegas to you? If there’s any opportunity at all to see the house lose their edge, we’re all for it. So, here are 3 exciting Las Vegas films, each with their own view on Sin City.

    1. Ocean’s Eleven (2001)

Fresh out of jail, Danny Ocean teams up with his old buddy Rusty to take on one of their biggest challenges to date. Danny plans to rob not one, not two, but three casinos on the Las Vegas strip – conveniently owned by his ex-wife’s new partner. It’s not an easy task, which is why these two friends set out to build a team of experts, known as Ocean’s Eleven, to help them out. The best part? The robbery is planned for a fight night, and since the casinos will be required by the Nevada Gaming Commission to have enough cash to cover every chip in play, the team are looking at $150 million, easy. Ocean’s Eleven is one of the most thrilling Las Vegas films out there, with a stellar cast, a nice b-story, and an ending that will leave you satisfied. There are also two sequels in the form of Ocean’s Twelve and Ocean’s Thirteen, so there’s a decent amount of enjoyment from this trilogy.

     2. The Hangover (2009)

Less about the gambling side of Las Vegas and more about the debauchery, The Hangover is a comedy that will leave you roaring with laughter. Two days before a friend’s wedding, Phil arranges a bachelor party for his friend, and the groom, Doug, along with their friend Stu, and Doug’s soon to be brother-in-law, Alan. Needless to say, Las Vegas gets the better of this group as they wake up with the world’s worst hangover and a missing friend – the groom. With only 24 hours to go until the wedding, the men must try their best to retrace their steps – the good, the bad, and the ugly – in order to find their missing friend. Much like Ocean’s Eleven, The Hangover offers two sequels – The Hangover 2 and 3.

    3. Casino (1995)

Slightly older than the first two on this list, Casino is set in early 1970’s Las Vegas. A low-level mobster is hired to oversee the Tangiers Casino. As time goes on, the people involved in Sam ‘Ace’ Rothstein’s life begin to cause problems, until eventually he finds himself in danger. Casino is a story of corruption, greed, deception, power, and money – you name it, it’s got it. If you’re interested in twists and turns, and films with ties to the mafia, Casino will be one that you’ll find yourself returning to time and time again.

Gambling is one of the most lucrative industries worldwide, but it seems players don’t just like to partake in the experience themselves – they like to watch it. Even people who would never choose to gamble themselves continue to enjoy the films and series set in this remarkable city – Las Vegas is enticing, even in a film state.

Finding the best casino online or in person can be difficult, especially if you’re looking to find one that offers fast payouts or lucrative bonus offers. Thankfully, finding the best casino movies isn’t a difficult task to undertake – like we said, there are literally thousands to choose from, with more being added to the list every year.
